SWK network connection for natural gas
Changing your existing connection? Then you are at the right place. We check to see if your building can be connected to our natural gas network
Important information about natural gas connections
Every year, we transport roughly 1.6 billion kilowatt-thours of natural gas through our supply network in a safe and environmentally friendly way to where it is needed: to industrial and business clients and private customers in the Kaiserslautern area.
Our supply system connects to the network with the natural gas system of the recipient or connection user.
General information
The installation of network supply lines is carried out in compliance with legal regulations, ordinances (the Low Pressure Connection Regulation/NDAV, among others), with the technical rules and standards, and with the relevant provisions of the German building code.
The Low Pressure Connection Regulation (NDAV) stipulates the terms and conditions under which network operators must connect recipients to their low pressure system and provide them with connections to withdraw gas, in accordance with Section 18 of the German Energy Economy Law (EnWG).
General Terms and Conditions pursuant to Section 18 of the German Energy Economy Law (EnWG)
Minimum technical requirements pursuant to Section 19 of the German Energy Economy Law (EnWG)
According to Section 19 of the German Energy Economy Law (EnWG), the SWK as network operators are obliged to establish minimum technical requirements for the layout and operation of network connections. The minimum technical requirements are deemed to be basically fulfilled when legal regulations and the general technological rules have been complied with, in particular the rules of the Worksheet G2000 from the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water.
